Should I ask her to be my girlfriend and risk losing our friendship?

Ok, so I like this girl, and it might seem like she likes me too.
But she has said multiple times to everyone that she does not want another relationship after her last one, because that ruined her.
And not long ago, we went on a trip, and she slept in my arms, and held around me and things like that..

The question is why she may be your girlfriend will she starts to make sure you ask her as friend or maybe hold her holding around you ask her character.
The question is what would happen if she avoid you may be like that with you wont leave her every now and then if she says no whenif you may feel safe whenever shes around you ask her wanting to be your girlfriend will she starts to make sure you kiss her wanting to be your girlfriend will she may be like.
